FAQ
We're on the A4080 located between the villages of Newborough and Dwyran on the Isle of Anglesey. Look out for the brown information signs enroute.
SatNav - Our post code is LL61 6RS. (Note that the post code area in this corner of the island is very large, meaning that post code directions will only bring you to the general locale. We recommend that Anglesey Model Village is set as specific seach criteria in your SatNav device).

If you're travelling from mainland Wales, follow the A55 over Britannia Bridge to Anglesey and take the first exit towards Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. Then take the first main road left (signposted A4080 to Newborough) and we're approximately 8 miles down the A4080, located between the villages of Dwyran and Newborough.
The neareast rail station is at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (just say 'LlanfairPG' when buying a train ticket).
We are on the No. 42 bus route which operates primarily between Llangefni and Bangor. On boarding, tell the driver that you would like the bus to stop at the model village.
Yes! Anglesey Model Village has a free car park for over 30 cars. We also have an area for parking larger vehicles.
Note, the car park is available during opening hours only - the car park will close 30 mins after the model village and cafe close for the day. Check our opening hours for further details.
If you're travelling by coach, please contact us in advance of your visit to give us your requirements. Coach parking is available.
Yes, some dogs are welcome. We love to see friendly dogs as long as they have well behaved owners! We just ask that you keep your dog on a short lead and clear up as necessary. Bins are provided around the garden. Doggie water can be found by the cafe.
The model village is a compact site and can be very busy with many people and other dogs at any one time. Please therefore give consideration to whether this environment is suitable for your dog - those with handling or socialisation issues or who can show aggression towards people and other dogs may find this environment challenging. As a result they may not be able to visit us. As you know, not everyone likes dogs so we must ask you to be respectful of other visitors.
Dogs may visit the model village as well as the cafe and picnic areas. From time to time exceptions may apply.
For hygiene and allergy reasons, we must ask that dogs remain off all internal and external furniture.
Yes! We have a dedicated picnic area for your use, which has fabulous views of the Snowdonia mountains - if you wish to order drinks or supplementary items from the cafe, this can be done on a take away basis. Please note there is no cafe table service provided to the picnic area.
We do ask that the cafe seating, including private dining pods and designated outdoor cafe service area are exclusively for the use of cafe visitors.
Absolutely - we regularly receive visitors who are wheelchair or scooter users. The surfaces around the model village are hard or compacted material and there are no steep gradients. Please see our Accessibility page for further details.
Smoking is not permitted in any area of the model village or cafe (including outdoor areas). Wales is the first country in the UK to legislate for bans on smoking at childrens play areas - we have opted to follow the requirements of this legislation.
